The Opportunity As an Associate Electrical Distribution Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:

Develop electrical distribution deliverables (up to 34.5kV) from design through execution

Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction

Correspond with clients, vendors and subcontractors

Potential travel opportunities to client and vendor offices and/or project sites for design reviews, construction coordination and field verification

Adhere to and/or prepare design budgets and schedules

Perform QA/QC responsibilities#LI-DM2

Key Responsibilities Project Execution:  Prepare engineering deliverables for multiple projects

Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations Manage data and perform complex engineering calculations

Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines

Lead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for a project Quality/Continuous Improvement:

Consistently and independently applies knowledge and complies with Black and Veatch quality program relative to assigned tasks Responsible for ensuring compliance with Black and Veatch quality program while performing internal Quality Assurance technical reviews

Provides guidance and direction to others from the same project and discipline Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts

Client Focus:

Interface directly with clients, vendors and subcontractors

Identify key client interests and drivers for projects

Communicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutions

Provide support for business development or pursuit activities

Manage project changes directly with the client under Project Manager supervision

Engineering Production:

Prepares a variety of complex engineering deliverables Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables

Provide technical leadership for Distribution Line projects

Drive solutions to achieve project goals

Preferred Qualifications Experienced in design services for overhead and underground distribution line projects for investor owned utilities in the United States Experienced in design of overhead and underground distribution projects (4kV-34.5kV)
