Investment Office Intern - Venture & Private Equity

Job Summary

The University of Michigan Investment Office is seeking a full‑time intern to join our team on‑site for Summer 2026. The role provides an opportunity to refine skills in finance and investing, data analysis, and project management.

• Support the Venture Capital and Private Equity team by conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses on investment performance and underlying portfolio data.
• Evaluate existing workflows and implement automated solutions to streamline reporting, enhance data collection, and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor portfolio company metrics and fund performance to help the team track investment outcomes.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed and related to the position.

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a demonstrated interest in computer science, finance, economics, investing, or business management.
• Ability to conceptualize and present quantitative and qualitative information.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently.
• Team‑oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite.
• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality requirements.
