Credit Analyst II
As a Credit Analyst II, you will play a pivotal role in helping drive smart lending decisions and supporting the growth of a dynamic commercial portfolio. In this position, you will partner closely with Loan Officers to evaluate new and existing financing opportunities from initial request through payoff, renewal, and modification. You will deliver thoughtful, high-quality credit analysis for a diverse portfolio that includes commercial and industrial, commercial real estate, and private banking/professional services clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented financial professional to combine analytical expertise, business insight, and collaborative partnership to make a meaningful impact on both client success and the Bank's lending strategy.
This position also works cooperatively to support the Lending and Credit functions of the Bank, including, but not limited to:
The Credit Analyst II will train/coach less experienced analysts, provide a daily advisory role and peer support for other analysts.
The Credit Analyst II underwrites primarily medium to large sized loans.
Requirements- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics is preferred. MBA or similar advance degree or coursework is a plus.
- 3 years relevant experience is required with a preference for direct credit analysis experience in a commercial lending environment or financial analysis in an investment management, finance, accounting or comparable field.
- An acute comprehension of GAAP.
- Advanced financial modeling skills are required.
- The successful completion of a formal credit /financial analyst training program is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) and financial statement spreading software is required. Familiarity with Abrigo/Sageworks is beneficial but not required.
- Strong writing skills.
- You should be naturally inquisitive with a problem-solving mindset, be flexible and able to adapt to frequently changing priorities, have a positive attitude and ability to complete work within the required, often fast-moving timelines.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task are essential.
