Job SummaryAvfuel Corporation, a global aviation fuel and services provider operating in over 140 countries, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our continued growth. This onsite role blends data analytics with core finance/accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and brings strong financial modeling and analytical skills to support strategic decision-making. This role will primarily support the accounting and finance division but may also work on projects across the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities- Analyze large data sets to identify trends and drive financial performance
- Drive financial results through data analysis
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and reports
- Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data
- Deliver regular (weekly, monthly, annual) financial reports and dashboards
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies with the direction of the Director of Financial Operations
- Provide ad-hoc reports to support cross-functional projects as assigned by manager
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel
- Experience with Power BI, Access, SQL preferred
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to consider multiple data sources and draw relevant conclusions
- Ability to notice inconsistencies and errors in data and work product
- Extract, clean and prepare large datasets through effective data mining & scrubbing techniques
- Roll-up sleeves, can do mentality
- Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-Related fields.
- 2 years' experience as financial analyst
- Experience working in an environment with large data sets.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
