Starting Wage: $21.00/Hour, based on experience

Location: Kalamazoo, MI

The Mortgage Loan Disbursement Specialist supports a smooth mortgage experience by reviewing closing documents, preparing loans for servicing, completing disbursement activities, and ensuring post-closing requirements are met accurately and on time. This detail-oriented position collaborates with title companies, members, and mortgage staff to maintain complete, compliant, and well-organized loan files.

• Review and maintain mortgage closing packages.
• Prepare, transfer, and verify loan data between origination and servicing systems.
• Complete loan funding, escrow setup, PMI activation, and related transactions.
• Resolve post-closing, underwriting, documentation, and quality control items.
• Process servicing updates, construction draws, payment setup, and loan conversions.
• Collaborate with title companies, members, and mortgage staff to resolve issues efficiently.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong computer and application skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities
• Ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented tasks accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
• Professionalism in conduct, communication, and appearance
• Ability to be registered under the SAFE Act required
• Ability to be bonded

  Associates degree or equivalent combination of education/experience, financial services experience, retail mortgage lending experience, mortgage servicing software experience
