Position: Instructional Aide (TEMP)

Job Summary

This temporary position will support the Educational Technology & Innovation (ETI) program in PD&E by developing and evaluating VR/AI-enhanced education for the nursing community and organizational partners. The role will create clinical education scenarios, collaborate with subject matter experts, test and refine VR/AI platforms, develop evaluation tools, analyze outcomes, and coordinate course deployment. This work supports safe, scalable, and evidence-based education for high-risk clinical situations while improving access for staff across Michigan Medicine and statewide partners.

Responsibilities*

There is an immediate need for an Instructional Aide in Nursing Professional Development & Education. Work may include, but is not limited to virtual scenario development, testing, and editing, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders, creating education feedback surveys, and analyzing data from the surveys and virtual platforms.

Assist with the following:

Develop scenarios with subject matter experts and stakeholders

Create scenarios on the platforms using branching scenario logic or AI prompting

Extensively test output to ensure accuracy

Make edits to the scenarios as needed

Create Qualtrics surveys and other instruments to measure outcomes

Submit materials and collaborate with the Cornerstone course builder to create courses for distribution

Analyze data and create reports

Test other platforms and provide recommendations to PD&E and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications *
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with superior ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) are
  • Proven attention to details, adaptable, and strong organizational skills are
  • Skill with technology and simulation education
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis
Desired Qualifications*
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in a health-related field.
