Wage $70,000-$80,000 + quarterly bonus opportunity

Location

O’Connor Hearing Center (OHC) in Ann Arbor, Michigan for over 18 years is searching for a full-time audiologist (MA/MS or Au.D). We provide diagnostic and hearing aid services to an adult population. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a variety of hearing aid manufacturers’ products and willing to learn new software modules. This person should be familiar with Noah and have some experience with office management software.

The Audiologist will be responsible for performing comprehensive diagnostic testing, hearing aid evaluation, selection, and fitting, as well as patient counseling, and follow-up care. Our practice focuses on treating hearing loss primarily in an adult population.

Qualifications
  • MA/MS or Au.D degree. Current Michigan Audiologist License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population so that goals are achieved.
  • Strong computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • 2-5 years proven experience as an audiologist preferred
Responsibilities
  • Analyzes case history and knowledgeable of implications
  • Administers Diagnostic Tests, PT/AB, tympanometry, speech in noise and REM.
  • Performs full audiological diagnostic evaluations, Hearing Aid Evaluations
  • Fits Hearing Aids
  • Interprets test results and provides reporting to physicians and other medical professionals.

Hearing Aid Evaluation and Fitting

  • Easily counsels patients regarding test results and gains a complete understanding of the patient’s hearing needs and lifestyle to develop a customized hearing care plan.
  • Performs selection, programming, and verification of the appropriate hearing aid technology to best meet the patient’s individual needs.
  • Provides ongoing patient care, including follow-up and education, hearing aid checks and adjustments, repairs, and cleanings as necessary to maintain ongoing patient relationships.
  • Assists in Professional and Community Outreach
  • In addition to professional responsibilities, the Audiologist will be part of a team engaging in marketing outreach and growing positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, fellow healthcare practitioners, and community organizations. This includes informational presentations regarding hearing loss, treatment options, and technology to local community groups, facilities, and medical professionals.
