Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Cutover & Clinical Backload to support a Regional Medical Center acquisition and integration into our client's systems. This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing clinical backload and technical cutover activities associated with EHR transitions.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with healthcare cutover workflows, strong organizational and documentation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-change environment. This position partners closely with technical teams and clinical stakeholders to ensure a successful and well-coordinated go‑live.
Responsibilities- Lead planning and execution for all clinical backload and technical cutover activities
- Coordinate work across technical, clinical, and operational teams
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation to track tasks, timelines, dependencies, and milestones
- Manage multiple cutover work streams and ensure alignment across stakeholder groups
- Facilitate meetings, assign tasks, track progress, and follow up on action items
- Identify risks, issues, and blockers; develop and drive remediation plans
- Support go‑live planning and execution, including limited onsite support as needed
- Adapt quickly to evolving priorities, workflows, and timelines
- Maintain accurate records in alignment with Ascension processes and standards
- Communicate effectively with leadership, technical teams, and clinical partners
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, fast‑paced project environment
- 3–4 years of Project Management experience
- Experience supporting clinical cutover, clinical backload, or healthcare IT transitions
- Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills
- Ability to track complex workflows, dependencies, and timelines
- Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Proven ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced projects with shifting priorities
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, applications, and processes
