Operations Lead - Hybrid

Description

TEKsystems needs someone to join their Service Delivery team as an operations lead focused on reviewing their current processes and making recommendations for ways to create efficiencies, build SLAs to the other internal teams they partner with, and ensure they're operating in a way that best meets the needs of the business.

Right now they feel they are fairly reactionary to requests they get from their internal customers and want to be better prepared for when new technologies are implemented and when projects move into the operations phase, as this is when they step in.

The internal customers this team works closely with are primarily the eCommerce development teams, but also with some corporate and ERP teams to host their critical applications on the Linux platform.

The right person for this role will have working knowledge of key technologies in their environment like Linux (they run RHEL) and Dev Ops practices / tools like Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible. Experience with Azure is a must have, ideally throughout a migration from on premise to the cloud.

They would like to emphasize someone who is very strong technically but has some leadership experience and the ability to build out processes.

Ideal candidate would be an Azure Engineer with Linux who has experience with terraform and / or other IaC tools, and who has been involved in building out operational processes / moving projects from engineering to operations & support.

This role will likely NOT be doing hands on work day to day, but they need to have enough of that experience to guide the engineers in how to all partner most effectively and move these work streams into the support phase.
