Job Title: Director of Site Acquisition (Data Centers)

The company

I’m partnering with a rapidly scaling AI‑infrastructure company to hire an experienced Director of Site Acquisition. This organization is building large‑scale data center capacity for leading AI labs, enterprises, and government partners—and is aggressively expanding a U.S. portfolio that already exceeds 600MW, with goals to reach multi‑GW scale in the next 12 months.

The position

This is a high‑impact leadership role owning site strategy, deal execution, and national expansion.

• Source, evaluate, and secure powered land, powered shell, and turnkey data center sites
• Lead negotiations with landowners, developers, operators & private equity groups
• Structure leases, JV agreements, and financeable deal models
• Partner closely with technical and finance teams on valuations & due diligence
• Build and manage relationships with brokers, utilities, lenders, and equity partners
• Own capacity planning across regions and clients
• Mentor and scale a growing site acquisition team

• 8+ years in real estate with a data center focus
• Proven track record acquiring hyperscale sites & closing complex powered‑land deals
• Experience structuring JV, lease, and development agreements
• Strong strategic thinking + ability to execute at scale
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication
• Experience operating in fast‑growth environments
• Willingness to travel 20%+

• Base: $260,000 – $360,000 (depending on experience & location)
