Security and Compliance Lead; CISO

We're assisting our European-Based Engineering client identify a Security and Compliance Lead (Future CISO) to head security and compliance in the U.S. and eventually, take over global responsibility.

This is an awesome opportunity for someone from a smaller company who has plaid a part in both Leadership/Strategy and Hands-On work, who is ready for that next step into a role of CISO!

• 7+ Years of Security and Compliance Experience
• 5+ Years in information security / GRC, including demonstrable ownership of an ISO 27001 ISMS through certification and surveillance
  .
• Direct experience taking an organization through a C3
  
  PAO CMMC assessment and/or a FedRAMP ATO
  .
• Hands‑on experience conducting audits and writing / maintaining policies, risk assessments and asset inventories
  .
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 / CMMC and the DoD contracting environment (FCI/CUI handling).
• Practical knowledge/experience with cloud and identity security — AWS, Microsoft 365 / Entra , Okta or equivalent
  .
• Hands‑on, proactive operator: comfortable both setting strategy and doing the detailed evidence work
  .
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or CMMC CCP/CCA
