About the Educational Technology Accelerator
The EdTech Accelerator at CAI identifies, evaluates, and pilots innovative educational technologies to enhance learning experiences for millions of learners around the world. We work at the frontier of AI-enabled learning tools, Extended Reality, and scalable pedagogical innovation - partnering with faculty, platform teams, and external vendors to bring the most promising solutions to Michigan Online and U-M's broader educational ecosystem.
Our team bridges the gap between cutting-edge edtech and real-world implementation, ensuring that new tools are assessed through both a rigorous pedagogical lens and a practical institutional one.
Responsibilities
- Apply project management skills across EdTech Accelerator strategic initiatives including partner communication, team and process management, and quality assurance in collaboration with faculty, CAI teams, administrators, vendors, and external partners.
- Manage project tasks including scoping, meeting scheduling, communication plans, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure execution and consistency of deliverables across the EdTech Accelerator portfolio, including pilot programs on Michigan Online.
- Scout, source, and evaluate emerging EdTech tools and trends to identify candidates for piloting on Michigan Online and other CAI platforms. Build and maintain a landscape of relevant vendors, startups, and research developments.
- Support faculty adoption of emerging technologies by helping launch and coordinate Faculty Innovation Workshops, and showcasing faculty-led teaching innovations through demos, and campus events.
- Develop detailed project plans to track progress using project management tools and platforms; adjust plans and deliver successful outcomes across concurrent, ambiguous, and exploratory projects.
- Facilitate meetings and communication channels to ensure clear exchange of information among project partners, including faculty, LXDs, platform teams, and external vendors.
- Create, develop, and implement project documentation and best practices for the EdTech Accelerator domain and across CAI teams, including evaluation frameworks for assessing new tools against pedagogical and institutional criteria.
- Work with copyright personnel, accessibility experts, design teams, faculty, and third-party vendors to ensure that EdTech initiatives comply with relevant policies regarding design thinking, copyright, accessibility, privacy, and data access.
- Participate in ongoing learning and application of project management methodologies and emerging trends in AI, XR, online learning, and educational technology to support continuous innovation.

As a member of the Educational Technology (Edtech) Accelerator team, you will sit at the intersection of AI & XR learning innovation and project execution.
