The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services.

Spares Supply Planner

The Spares Supply Planner is responsible for spares supply planning with the goal of satisfying the demand forecast in the most effective and efficient way. The planner must analyze the chain from upstream to downstream and formulate solutions for both short- and long-term supply chain planning objectives. The Spares Supply Planner works cross-functionally with product planners, buyers, engineering, internal factories and external suppliers to identify opportunities for supply chain improvements that increase agility, optimize inventory, and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead collaborative efforts with Product Planners and Buyers to resolve inventory and supply constraints for assigned product networks. Own escalation plans to return critical supply to a healthy level. May include report outs to senior management in various forums.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve chronic issues with suppliers such as lead time variances, fill rates, data quality. Work to optimize KLA’s planning systems to respond to supplier variances.
  • Weekly analysis and release of suggested new buy orders from the Baxter planning system.
  • Utilize the Baxter planning system and other analytical tools to review inventory projections and the supply-demand picture to prevent potential shortages or excessive inventory.
  • Execute a structured problem-solving methodology and ensure clear communication to stakeholders on constraints, root causes, and necessary actions.
  • Proactively manage short- and long-term supply plans, ensuring service level commitments are met. These plans involve but are not limited to end of life, obsolescence, and part transition management.
  • Chair weekly critical parts review meetings and work issues to closure.
  • Participate in development of analytics to predict future risks, increase accuracy in supply planning, and provide insight for executive decision making for spare parts.
  • Ensure adherence to company supply chain management standard methodologies, policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, formulas, chart creation, and presentation of data).
  • Working knowledge of Power

    BI helpful.
  • Experience using an MRP planning system (preferably SAP or Baxter).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Process oriented, results driven, and focused on continuous improvements.
