Job DetailsThe Import‑Export Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of international parts shipments, ensuring timely and efficient transportation from origin to destination. This role oversees compliance with import/export regulations, prepares and processes shipping documentation, and coordinates with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate records. By combining strong organizational skills with regulatory knowledge, the Import‑Export Coordinator supports smooth logistics operations and delivers exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
EssentialFunctions Shipment Coordination & Tracking
- Coordinate and monitor international shipments from origin to destination.
- Track shipments and provide timely status updates to internal departments.
- Resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process to maintain delivery timelines.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and commercial invoices.
- Ensure compliance with all import/export legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all international incoming shipments and related documentation.
- Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Address inquiries and provide solutions to prevent delays or compliance issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, as well as freight carriers.
- Serve as a point of contact for shipment‑related inquiries and problem resolution.
- Identify opportunities to streamline import/export processes and improve efficiency.
- Support implementation of best practices for documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in import or export operations.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word)
- Effective communication skills, ability to network, and problem solve
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask
- SAP and Salesforce are preferred
- UPS Worldship / Fed Ex Ship Manager are preferred
- Office / Warehouse
