Inventory Management Analyst

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a food service supply chain organization, is seeking a skilled Inventory Management Analyst
. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound inventory shipments, monitoring purchase orders and safety stock levels, and supporting supply planning across multiple supply chain centers. The ideal candidate brings inventory planning experience, strong Excel skills, and a working understanding of supply chain operations.

• Schedule and coordinate inbound inventory shipments across assigned commodity categories
• Monitor purchase orders, inventory levels, and safety stock requirements across supply chain centers
• Analyze forecast, sales, and inventory data to support planning decisions
• Maintain accurate master data to support system-driven inventory planning
• Review system-generated exceptions and recommend adjustments to purchase orders or supply plans
• Track vendor performance and identify trends impacting service levels
• Partner with procurement, freight, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve supply chain issues
• Support inventory-related projects, item transitions, and product change activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience in inventory planning, supply planning, purchasing, demand scheduling, or related supply chain functions
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Inventory planning, purchasing, demand scheduling, or supply planning experience
• Forecast analysis, sales data analysis, and trend identification experience
• Master data management or supply chain systems experience
• Safety stock management, EOQ development, or inventory optimization knowledge

• 1-3 years of experience in inventory planning, supply planning, purchasing, demand scheduling, or related supply chain functions
• SAP or automated purchasing system experience
• Exception-based planning or automated purchase order review experience
• Vendor performance analysis experience
• Root cause analysis experience within supply chain or inventory operations
• Experience supporting multiple distribution centers, supply chain centers, or warehouse locations
• Experience with test market, promotional, or new product supply planning
• Familiarity with freight, procurement, quality assurance, or warehouse operations
