- Procure chemical materials to support customer production schedules and operational requirements.
- Create and manage purchase orders in MAS based on customer demand and inventory requirements.
- Process material receipts, inventory transactions, and product sales within MAS.
- Monitor supplier order status and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Track product lead times and communicate delays or supply risks to site leadership.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish materials to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to identify alternate materials and qualified sources when necessary.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to Supply Chain Associates in supplier selection and procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for direct chemicals and production materials.
- Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts, as required.
- Perform inventory planning based on customer forecasts and production schedules.
- Track orders from placement through receipt at customer locations.
- Coordinate removal of empty containers with suppliers and vendors in a timely manner.
- Assist with customer invoicing activities.
- Complete accounts payable processing, account reconciliations, and inventory reporting.
- Prepare documentation required for material deliveries and supplier payments.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in company systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact regarding delivery schedules, quality concerns, and purchase order issues.
- Coordinate with customer personnel, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve supply chain issues.
- Attend customer meetings as required.
- Supervise product deliveries and ensure materials are delivered to the appropriate point-of-use or inventory location.
- Complete GHS labeling for secondary containers as required.
- Prepare customer-specific HMCC/HMC labels for applicable products.
- Follow all customer safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Utilize ERP and customer software systems, including MAS, SAP, Ariba, and other customer platforms.
- Generate inventory, purchasing, and operational reports.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels to support 100% production uptime by monitoring inventory, placing orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely replenishment of direct production chemicals.
Bulk Tank and Tank Farm MaterialsThe analyst monitors inventory, places orders through SAP, coordinates deliveries, and prepares payment documentation for bulk materials.
Qualifications Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, or chemical industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting chemical distribution or chemical supply chain operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and supply chain best practices.
- Experience working with chemical products and hazardous materials.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with technical, operational, and administrative personnel.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, administrative, and data management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, MAS, or similar business systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues while meeting deadlines.
