Custodian Trainer – ABM Industries

The Lead Cleaner/Trainer is responsible for providing direction, motivation, and guidance to a team of cleaner professionals in a dynamic facility environment.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required; on‑the‑job training provided
• High school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required

• Customer service experience
• One (1) year of similar work experience

• Provide leadership and direction to team members
• Relay communication among team members, clients, customers, and management
• Report performance issues to the supervisor
• Assist with the training of cleaning team members
• Coordinate work assignments and schedule creation
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned building
• Manage security of keys and access cards for the property
• Report work orders for maintenance
• Ensure premises are secured at all times
• Collaborate with the manager to schedule jobs with the property manager and cleaning crew
• Oversee quality of jobs and confirm completion with manager
• Provide training to all new hires assigned to the building
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly
• Complete order forms accurately
• Coordinate equipment usage and inventories
