The press brake operator will bend, shape, and form plates to required drawings and specifications.
DUTIES- Operate a hydraulic press brake to manufacture weldments from metal plates, forming and straightening, taper, and dish shapes to model data / drawings using cut forming templates
- Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake as required by product plans and production schedules
- Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes / hi‑lo
- Measure and align materials to be used
- Inspect products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and project specifications
- Perform routine safety inspection and as needed maintenance on the press brake
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Document actions by completing production timesheets
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience operating a hydraulic press brake; experience forming aerospace tooling facesheets is preferred. We are willing to train those who have zero experience.
- Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and project plans
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to pass a drug test, with little or no notice, in compliance with the law
- Ability to pass a background check in compliance with the law
