- Job Title : Quality Supervisor
- Type of contract : Long-term At-will
- Scope : Site
- Huron
- Management of the metrology process. Ensure measurements, able to get reports and understand measurements interpretations using QDA.
- Ensure Dimensional Measurements according to control plan frequency
- Together with the QE’s, deliver dimensional recommendations to improve tank dimensions in blow molding and welding processes. Responsibility 2:
Quality Techs Supervision - Supervise technical lab employees dedicated to Quality Testing.
- Calculate Gainshare Month over Month according to the rules defined and aligned to UAW standards
- Vacations, call offs and overtime Management of Quality Techs
- Compliance with the testing plan aligned with the control plan Responsibility 3:
New launches and trials - Participate in New Launches quality planning together with QEs.
- Together with QEs, manage reinforced control plan testing in New Launches Responsibility 4:
Calibration and Maintenance - Maintain test and measurement equipment and work areas in optimal conditions
- Execute the calibration plan at 100%. Use of Gagetrack application
- Schedule maintenance of testing equipment. Responsibility 5:
Generals - Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
- Understanding of Customer specific requirements
- Execute MSA studies as needed. Consider variables and attributes study
- Purchase requisition and Purchase order Management
- Engineering degree (Industrial, mechanical, chemical or related engineering)
- 3 to 5 years preferred in equivalent position with Automotive Quality background.
- Strong understanding of IATF 16949 requirements
- Excellent communication skills and Advanced PC skills
- Experience in people management Job Technical skills
- Experience in Plastic Industry
- Must comply with all safety rules and regulations
- Must have excellent organization skills
- Advanced Programming skills, preferred
- Operate/Experience in CMM, Portable Arm, Handheld gages, Optical Comparator and other tools necessary to verify product
- Understanding of Core Tools (MSA Requirements)
- QA Knowledge preferred
- SAP knowledge for EPOR and PO Management
