Shift Supervisor - Soy Plant

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is currently hiring for a shift supervisor at our soy processing facility in St. Joseph, MO. The person in this role will assist with the day-to-day operations by providing management support throughout the plant. The shift supervisor will also help train employees, enforce company policies and procedures, and ensure that quality standards are being met.

• Provide management support through supervising the plant workers' activities including training employees, determining methods for employee work, and scheduling.
• Monitor and maintain processing supply inventory by completing orders of supplies and documenting amount of supplies on hand.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Develop and manage projects as assigned.
• Attend company meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Experience in supervising employees through training and motivating.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using computers and other office equipment.
• Capable of sound decision making.
• Great team player and takes initiative.
• Mechanically savvy.
• Safety conscientious.
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
• Capable of working with diverse group of individuals.
• Knowledge of hazard communication standards and PSM, preferred.
• Able to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Five years or equivalent in related field is preferred.
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required.
• Technical degree is preferred.
