Job Description & How to Apply Below

Be the go-to expert on our mills and lathes. You clock in to a spotless, well‑organized cell. Before a spindle turns, you check safety first—PPE on, area clean, OSHA practices top of mind. Your Cell Lead has lined up the work instructions. You kit the job: selecting and presetting tools, arranging work holding, loading programs, and double‑checking everything against drawings and specs.

After setup, you cut the first part and verify conformance. Micrometers and calipers in hand, you inspect features and confirm GD&T callouts. You make smart offsets, keep coolant levels where they need to be, and stay vigilant on quality throughout the entire run. If a program or part issue surfaces, you halt and alert your supervisor immediately.

Between cycles, you deburr, complete in‑process inspection forms, and prep parts for downstream operations. When Quality signs off on geometry, you install hardware—standoffs and helicoils as needed—and keep production flowing. Some days bring new materials—steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium, copper, brass—and you adapt without skipping a beat. Other assignments come your way, and you tackle them with the same focus and care.

What

you’ll handle
  • Set up and operate CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes to produce precision parts to customer drawings, internal sketches, and provided instructions.
  • Prepare tooling and work holding per Cell Lead guidance; confirm first‑piece conformance.
  • Monitor part quality continuously, apply tool and wear offsets, and maintain proper coolant levels.
  • Perform basic deburring; complete in‑process inspection documentation.
  • Install hardware after quality approval and support other assigned duties.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation aligned with OSHA guidelines.
What you bring
  • High School diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
  • 3–5 years of CNC Mill and/or Lathe setup and operating experience;
    Haas familiarity preferred.
  • Proven ability to run Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers; multi‑axis (up to 5‑axis) experience preferred.
  • Comfort with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and reading blueprints with GD&T.
  • Stamina to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience machining a broad material mix: steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium, copper, brass, and more.
  • Strong math skills, dependable attendance, adaptability, and a solid work ethic.
  • CAD/CAM familiarity is a plus; experience installing standoffs and helicoils preferred.
  • Computer proficiency preferred.
