Injection Molding Machine Setup Specialist
All aspects of injection molding machine set up. Molding of prototype and production parts according to manufacturing standard procedures, engineering specifications, and quality requirements. Trouble shooting of molding problems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set up of injection molding machines, including not limited to dies, machine settings, chiller, thermolators, hot runners, materials, tools and operator required fixtures.
- Clean up of work area after production and prototypes.
- Make adjustments to prototypes and production to meet quality, engineering and customer requirements.
- Adhere to all company and manufacturing policies and procedures.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed.
- Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.

Education and/or
Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Attributes:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
