What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned crew.
  • Accept responsibility for the work performed under your direction.
  • Ensure that assigned work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure product being shipped is within acceptable levels of quality, costs, and efficiency.
  • Represent the company through words and actions.
  • Motivate employees to complete tasks while ensuring that the productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Promote a team environment and assist employees in reaching full potential.
  • Ensure employees receive proper training and instruction on assigned tasks.
  • Provide discipline as needed, including desired corrective action.
  • Ensure that employees follow proper safety procedures.
  • Provide weekly safety talks.
  • Daily forklift checks.
  • Ensure that work areas are free of hazards and that corrective action is taken.
  • Promptly report problems or concerns to Management.
  • Perform shipping tasks in GEM, SAP or Manhattan scheduling system.
  • Enforce proper procedures that align with the companies shipping policies.
  • Good communication with vendors/suppliers, carriers and any other company or non-company personnel.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math and clear communication skills.
The Work Environment
  • Exposure to wet/humid conditions and extreme heat/cold. Some high noise levels and moving mechanical parts. Exposure to brine, bleach, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Must wear proper PPE such as bump cap, eye and ear protection, gloves, respirator to ensure your safety as well as protecting the quality of our products.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with team members across departments.
