Do you enjoy bringing precision to life? Can you take a drawing, plan your setup, and produce a conforming first piece—then hold spec through the entire run? If that sounds like you, read on.
Your missionUnder the guidance of a Cell Lead, you’ll set up and operate CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes to deliver exacting results. You’ll prepare tools and work holding per provided work instructions, confirm conformance after setup, and keep quality locked in through attentive offsets and coolant management. If a program or part issue appears, you’ll stop and notify your supervisor immediately.
How you’ll make an impact- Translate customer drawings, internal sketches, and instructions into consistent, precision parts.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean cell that aligns with OSHA guidelines.
- Deburr and prepare parts for next operations; complete in-process inspection records.
- Install hardware—standoffs and helicoils—once Quality has approved geometry; take on other duties as assigned.
- Confident setups and smooth operation on Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centers; multi-axis (up to 5-axis) capability preferred.
- Accurate inspection using micrometers, calipers, and related tools; strong blueprint reading with GD&T.
- Steady performance over long standing periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience machining a range of materials: steel, aluminum, stainless, plastic, titanium, copper, brass, and more.
- High School diploma or GED; minimum age 18.
- 3–5 years of CNC setup and operation on mills and/or lathes;
Haas experience preferred. - Math strength, dependable attendance, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
- CAD/CAM familiarity is a plus; prior hardware installation experience preferred.
- Comfort with computers preferred.
