Role Description The Chemical Operator 1 role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ann Arbor, MI. This role involves operating chemical processing equipment, including reactors, mixers, and distillation units, according to established procedures and safety standards. The Chemical Operator 1 monitors process parameters, records production data, and performs routine adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency. Daily responsibilities include handling raw materials and chemicals, performing basic equipment inspections, supporting cleaning and changeover activities, and collaborating with quality and engineering teams to resolve issues.
The role also requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and environmental regulations while contributing to a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Chemical Handling and working safely within the Chemical Industry.
- Candidates should possess skills in Chemical Processing and Distillation operations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, including following SOPs and documenting process data accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn operation of production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
- Ability to work on-site in rotating shifts, stand for extended periods, and lift moderate weights as required.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing is preferred.
