EDUCATIONAL NURSE COORDINATOR (Central Staffing Resource, Adult Telemetry Cluster)

The Central Staffing Resource (CSR) department is a cornerstone of quality nursing care and operational responsiveness across our health system. CSR provides supplemental staffing support to inpatient and specialty areas across the medical campus, ensuring safe, flexible, and high quality care delivery.

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Educational Nurse Coordinator to join our CSR leadership team. This Adult Telemetry Cluster ENC position will also support education for the CSR Adult General Care Cluster. This role plays a vital part in supporting nursing and ancillary staff, coordinating educational new employee orientation and facilitating employee ongoing education with the goal to promote professional growth, sound clinical practice and exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities*
  • To develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate the CSR Adult ATC and AGC cluster new employee orientation program.
  • To identify CSR staff’s ongoing staff educational needs and facilitate educational opportunities to meet identified needs.
  • To partner with inpatient units to support educational initiatives.
  • To provide, and coordinate nursing focused institutional educational initiatives for CSR staff.
  • To design and implement staff development plans. These activities are done in collaboration with the CSR Nursing Leadership Team and the Nursing Services Senior Director.
  • To demonstrate clinical nursing role through role direct patient care, modeling, and consultation to nursing and other members of the health care team.
  • Participate in hospital-wide committees and partner to lead CSR Unit Based Committee.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, coordinate, execute, evaluate, and update nursing and tech orientation for the CSR ATC and AGC clusters.
  • Develop, educate, and evaluate CSR preceptors.
  • Coordination of multidisciplinary, interdepartmental orientation experiences.
  • Identify staff’s on‑going educational requirements and facilitate continuing education as appropriate.
  • Conduct individualized and group learning programs for nursing and tech staff based on needs assessments and monitoring of the inpatient unit’s clinical patient care standards and outcomes.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of staff developmental plans with respect to education.
  • Facilitate the completion of department based and institutional mandatory education and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in CSR Nursing Leadership Team, research, CQI and facility wide educational groups.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in hospital records and other databases.
  • Partner and actively participate in CSR unit-based council.
