Job Description

This job is at Hillsdale Hospital. Relocation Assistance offered if you're more than 75 miles from Hillsdale, MI plus $5,250 paid on your student loan!

Work Schedule and Shift Premiums
  • Full Time | 36 hours/week including every other weekend | Nights 7pm to 7am
  • Hourly rate is determined by your RN license year and years of experience as an RN
  • 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hr (3pm-11pm)
  • 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hr (11pm to 7am)
  • Weekend premiums is $2.00/hr

Qualifications
  • ADN or BSN in nursing
  • Valid Michigan RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred, but not necessarily required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS required, plus CPI/TEAM certification required within one year (all are available through Hillsdale Hospital)
Responsibilities
  • Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
  • Immediately stabilize incoming patients
  • Administer medication as instructed by physicians
  • Start intravenous lines
  • Create and maintain incoming patient records
  • Work with team of emergency staff to help patients
  • Help transfer stable patients to other wings
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient’s health and situation
  • Analyze assessment data, identify appropriate nursing diagnosis lists and create individualized plan of care
  • Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
  • Participate in unit specific/hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist with activities that enhance quality of nursing practice
