REGISTERED NURSE:
Cardiovascular Center (Cardiovascular Operating Room ) Responsibilities
Scrub and circulate in the Cardiovascular Center operating rooms assigned under the clinical supervision of a Clinical Nursing Director. To rotate shift and accept call as assigned by Clinical Nursing Director. To assist in the teaching activities of the Operating Room.
Required Qualifications- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
- One (1) year of current (within the last year) operating room experience as a RN
- Ability to work with a non-responsive patient population
- Call commitment with 30 minute response time
- Resume required for all applicants
- Current (within 3 years) ability to scrub and circulate
- CNOR certification
- BSN
- Demonstrated ability to handle stress, conflict and resolution
- Ability to work with non-responsive patient population
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team member
- Highly motivated and organized
- Evening Shift Differential - $3.00 / hour
- Night Shift Differential - $4.00 / hour
- Charge Nurse Differential - $1.00 / hour

Hours:
40 hours per week. Shift: Rotating position (Day/Evening or Day/Night) with an 8‑hour shift and weekend and holiday on‑call/shift obligations.
Location:
Cardiovascular Center - Operating Room.
Note:
All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
