Hours: 8AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday;
No weekends or holidays
Location: West Bloomfield
Preferred Experience: Knowledge of neurosurgery
Tasks: Will be working to triage phone messages and my chart messages, teaching for pre-operative OR cases and caring for patient post-operatively.

The unit is recognized for its strong culture of teamwork, clinical excellence, and professional development. Nurses work closely with neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary staff to deliver comprehensive care throughout the patient’s journey.
General SummaryProvides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
Education/ExperienceRequired
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
- Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
