Registered Nurse RN - Angiography

Part-Time benefited position. Scheduled 40 hours bi-weekly (.5 FTE). Day shift, No Weekends, No Holidays.

Day Shift.

The RN Special Procedures Nurse supports Interventional Radiology – Angiography, assisting a Physician or Physician Assistant in over 60 different procedures. The unit operates weekdays from 6:30 am-5:30 pm. Call coverage is mandatory, with an average requirement of 3 weeknight shifts per month and weekend coverage once every seventh weekend, divided between Neuro intervention and Angiography. Callback requirements:
Neuro Intervention 40 min, Angiography 60 min.

• The nurse will monitor and possibly sedate the patient, chart the entire case, and educate the patient on discharge instructions.
• The nurse must ensure the patient is prepped appropriately for their procedure by assessing allergies, medications, lab values, and giving pre-procedure medications such as antibiotics.
• Nurses will rotate through all radiology modalities including Angiography, Neuro Intervention, MRI, CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound.

• Current Michigan Nursing License.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Effective January 1 2013; all new hires must have a BSN degree or agree in writing to obtain their BSN within 5 years from date of hire).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required.
• Experience in ICU or ER is encouraged.
