The Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Unit (9C) offers inpatient diagnostic evaluations and comprehensive treatment plans to patients with serious psychiatric disorders. Treatment planning includes recommendations for appropriate psychotherapeutic, psychosocial and psychopharmacological (medication) treatments, with vocational treatments following discharge. We emphasize coordinating these recommendations with ongoing or subsequent psychiatric management. Patients also may be invited to participate in a variety of approved diagnostic and treatment research programs.

We are actively engaged in research in the areas of schizophrenia, psychoimmunology and affective disorders. 9C offers a creative staffing model to their nurses to promote optimal continuity of care for their patients. A newly renovated space, 9C promotes a healing and caring environment for both patients and families.

• Provide expert nursing care to psychiatric patients on the adult inpatient Psychiatric Unit

• Current Michigan RN license
• Eighteen (18) months of recent psych experience as a Registered Nurse
• Under Michigan Law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of employment or transfer for this position

• BSN
• Demonstrated knowledge of cognitive behavioural treatment of depression and other psychiatric disorders
• Demonstrated excellence in communication skills
• Experience in the utilization of Welle training

Hourly range for Registered Nurses: $41.78-$64.81 / hour

• Evening Shift Differential: $3.00 / hour
• Night Shift Differential: $4.00 / hour
• Day Shift Weekend Differential: $2.90 / hour
• Evening Shift Weekend Differential: $5.90 / hour
• Night Shift Weekend Differential: $6.90 / hour
• Charge Nurse Differential: $1.00 / hour
