Job SummaryThe Internship is a 12‑week program designed to prepare a graduate nurse for a registered nurse position in a general care pediatric unit (GroupB
12 West Mott). The unit is a 32‑bed pediatric medical‑surgical unit caring for infants to young adults, with services in orthopedic surgery, trauma, rehabilitation, nephrology, urology, kidney transplant, neurology, neurosurgery, and endocrinology. Up to 10 beds can be utilized for stable pediatric patients requiring mechanical ventilation. The program includes educational sessions and precepted bedside clinical experience. Candidates must commit for a minimum of 30 hours per week (0.75 FTR) for a two‑year period after completing the internship.

October 8, 2026.
Hours:
32‑40 per week.
- Graduate nurse or newly licensed registered nurse in the state of Michigan with no previous registered nurse practice.
- Successful completion of the NCLEX prior to the internship start date.
- Ability to start on October 8, 2026.
- Readiness to perform standing, walking, positioning, pulling, and lifting of heavy patients and objects for extended periods.
Resume required for both internal and external applicants.

- Shift differentials:
