Position: Travel CVOR Registered Nurse VAD Coordinator - $3,220 per week

Job Details

Position: CVOR Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular OR RN (Travel)

Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109

Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)

Start Date: 06/01/2026

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts

Shift: 8‑hour days; rotating day/evening shifts (2x8s and 2x12s: 06:30‑14:30/14:30‑22:30 and 06:30‑18:30/10:30‑22:30; option for 5x8s)

Pay: $2,870 – $3,020 per week (subject to confirmation)

Call Requirements: 2‑4 weeknights and 1‑2 weekends per 4‑week schedule (no shift longer than 12 hours)

Unit Highlights: Flexible scheduling, supportive management, positive team environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years CVOR RN experience (cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery preferred)
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Scrub experience with proficiency on skills list
  • Active Michigan RN license required at time of submission
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to start
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Two manager/supervisor references required
  • Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
  • No RTO during first week of contract
Responsibilities
  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care for adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients, including high‑acuity cases.
  • Assist and scrub for procedures such as CABG, heart transplant, ECMO, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD implantation, aortic aneurysm repair, and more.
  • Participate in thoracic and vascular procedures including VATS, lobectomy, esophagectomy, carotid endarterectomy, and AAA repair.
  • Perform circulating and scrub roles as assigned; demonstrate sterile technique and OR instrumentation proficiency.
  • Rotate between day and evening shifts and fulfill call requirements with flexible scheduling.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesia, ICU) to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards.
  • Complete onsite orientation modules and competency validation.
