We are hiring 5 Full‑Time Registered Nurses for an ICU/peri‑operative surgical setting. All hires will work identical hours and shifts (10‑hr shifts starting at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., or 2 p.m.). On‑call and holiday requirements apply. All new employees will float to assigned units during low census periods.

Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to surgical populations (ICU, general care, open‑op).
- Maintain patient airway, vital signs, and intake/output records.
- Monitor EKG, arterial line, pulmonary artery catheter, and other monitoring devices.
- Manage pain (patient‑controlled analgesia and epidural).
- Participate as a member of the collaborative health team.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Prepare units for pre‑op patients (IV set‑up, chart review for H&P, consent, etc.).
- Provide direct care for pre‑op patients.
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
- Either:
- Two (2) years of Adult Surgical ICU RN experience within the last three (3) years; knowledge of multiple surgical procedures.
- Two (2) years of Adult Emergency Department RN experience within the last three (3) years.
- Two (2) years of current Adult PACU RN experience (minimum 20 hours per week) to include caring for patients at an ICU level of care, within the last three (3) years.
- Applicants must have met or will meet all required qualifications prior to the start date.

Desired Qualifications- BSN preferred. Recent experience in PACU, ED, or ICU.
- CPAN certified.
- CAPA certified.
- ACLS certified.
- PALS certified.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

- Hourly range for Registered Nurses $41.78‑$64.81 / hour
- Shift differentials:
- Evening Shift – $3.00 / hour
- Night Shift – $4.00 / hour
- Day Shift Weekend – $2.90 / hour
- Evening Shift Weekend – $5.90 / hour
- Night Shift Weekend – $6.90 / hour
- Charge Nurse – $1.00 / hour

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U‑M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U‑M Professional Nurse Council union.
