Position: REGISTERED NURSE- D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion- PACU

Job Summary

The

D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion is a 12-story hospital that will house 264 private rooms capable of converting to intensive care; a state-of-the-art neurosciences center; and high-level, specialty care services for cardiovascular and thoracic patients, along with advanced imaging. The 690,000‑square‑foot hospital features 20 surgical and three interventional radiology suites and will be constructed adjacent to the Frankel Cardiovascular Center with plans for bridge and tunnel connections to existing inpatient care facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to multiple surgical populations (ICU, general care, and outpatient).
  • Maintain patient's airway and vital signs, intake & output.
  • Monitor EKG, arterial line, and pulmonary artery catheter as needed.
  • Perform pain management with patient‑controlled analgesia and epidural techniques.
  • Participate as a member of the collaborative health team.
  • Provide patient and family education.
  • Prepare the unit for pre‑operative patients (IV set‑up, review charts for H&P, consent, etc.).
  • Provide direct care for pre‑operative patients.
Required Qualifications
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
  • Two (2) years of ED, ICU, or PACU (including ICU level care) RN experience with a minimum of 20 hours per week within the last three (3) years.
  • Call commitment with a 45‑minute response time.

In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Desired Qualifications
  • BSN preferred.
  • CPAN certified.
  • CAPA certified.
  • ACLS certified.
  • PALS certified.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Work Schedule

Hours:

40 hours per week.

Shift: Day/Evenings; 10‑hour shifts (9 am – 7:30 pm or 11 am – 9:30 pm).

Call commitment with a 45‑minute response time.

Location:

D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion – PACU.

Note:

All new employees will be expected to float to designated unit(s) during times of low census.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level

Hourly range for Registered Nurses: $41.78 – $64.81 per hour.

Effective hourly differentials:

  • Evening shift differential: –$3.00 per hour.
  • Night shift differential: –$4.00 per hour.
  • Day shift weekend differential: –$2.90 per hour.
  • Evening shift weekend differential: –$5.90 per hour.
  • Night shift weekend differential: –$6.90 per hour.
  • Charge nurse differential: –$1.00 per hour.

C. The actual level and salary will be determined at the time of hire. Nursing framework levels range from Level A to Level
