Position: Advanced Practitioner, Per Diem - Multi Clinic Greater Detroit Area

Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our team of dynamic healthcare professionals in the Greater Detroit Area.

The position is within VIVO Infusion – Advanced Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner will oversee infusion care, create and maintain individualized care plans, and serve as the primary clinical liaison between the referring physician’s office and the infusion center. This role includes providing compassionate care in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate clinical information provided by referring physician offices and admit appropriate patients for infusion.
  • Evaluate newly referred patients and develop initial plans of care.
  • Monitor plans of care and make necessary changes.
  • Perform pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients and confirm suitability for infusion.
  • Review all lab reports provided by the referring physician.
  • Request diagnostic and laboratory studies as needed.
  • Recognize situations that require immediate physician attention and initiate life‑saving procedures when necessary.
  • Consult with the supervising Medical Director as necessary.
  • Document infusion orders in the electronic medical record.
  • Dictate or document notes in the electronic medical record.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Promote company quality outcome initiatives.
  • Delegate responsibilities to staff nurses on duty.
  • Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
  • Carry out all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide patient education and answer questions from prospective patients and referring physicians.
  • Enforce all HIPAA compliance guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Must have a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state where service is provided.
  • Onc Certified, preferred.
  • Must have current DEA license.
  • Rheumatology and/or infusion experience preferred, but not required.
  • 1–3 years in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills to identify and address patient needs.
  • Intermediate computer skills, MS Office.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to deliver key results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and a high degree of professional ethics, knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment is characterized by exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and moderate noise level. Specific vision abilities required include close, color differentiation, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Duties require standing; walking; talking; hearing; smelling; using hands for finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit;

stoop; kneel; bend; crouch; or crawl. Safety equipment such as PPE (face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments) may be required.
