American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring general OR and trauma experience, Epic proficiency, and an active MI RN license.

• Work in the Operating Room department of a teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center
• Primarily adult patient population
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Shift options include day/evening rotator (7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p) or straight evenings on a 3x12 schedule
• Weekend and weeknight call required in 8-hour blocks (7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a)
• Up to 4 weeknight calls and 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active MI RN license required in-hand at time of consideration (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and CAC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required
• General OR and trauma experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted (allergy-free option available)
• 2 supervisory references required (charge RN references not accepted)

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across general OR, trauma, plastics, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and robotic surgery cases
• Experience with robotic surgical systems including Da Vinci and Mako preferred
• Assist with trauma cases including gunshot/stab wounds, MVAs, amputations, and burns
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• No RTO permitted during the first week of the contract
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 1-year separation
• Required certifications must be obtained prior to the start date
• No pre-hire training modules required; modules completed onsite during orientation
