Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Location

Bay City, Michigan

This is a 13-week contract position.

9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, with every third weekend required.

The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates total nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, engaging in patient and family education, and providing leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and patient team personnel. The RN is responsible for upholding professional nursing standards within the clinical setting and recognizing that each patient is a unique individual entitled to quality nursing care. They ensure mutual goal setting with patients, respect patient rights, and maintain privacy.

The RN is accountable to the ethical and professional standards set by various nursing organizations and the State of Michigan's Public Health code.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Participate in patient and family education initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to maintain care standards.
• Protect patient rights and ensure the privacy of patient information.
• Adhere to the ethical and professional standards set by nursing regulatory agencies.

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Current Michigan State RN License.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, BLS (AHA).
