DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring at least 2 years of CVOR experience and an active Michigan RN license.
Details- Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital environment
- Adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patient population including complex and high acuity cases
- Procedures include CABG, AVR, MVR, ECMO, heart transplant, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, VATS, lobectomy, esophagectomy, EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, and fem-fem/fem-distal bypass
- Day/evening rotating shifts offered as 2x8s and 2x12s or 5x8s, ranging from 06:30-14:30, 14:30-22:30, or 06:30-18:30
- Day and evening shift rotation required
- Call requirements include 2-4 weeknight call shifts and 1-2 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule
- No call shift exceeds 12 hours, with weekend call limited to either Friday/Saturday night or Saturday/Sunday day
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required at time of consideration; compact licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR RN experience required
- Previous travel experience preferred, though strong first-time travelers may be considered
- BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Scrub skill level of 3 or 4 required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Two manager or supervisor references required; charge nurse references not accepted
- Provide scrub and circulating support for complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
- Team known for strong management support and positive work environment based on feedback from previous travelers
- Unit offers flexible scheduling and accommodates time-off requests
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions permitted; allergy-free option available if needed
- All required certifications must be obtained prior to start date
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
- Former permanent employees may return as travelers after one year, provided they left in good standing
- Traveler pairs are not accepted
- All requested RTO must be submitted upfront; no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $3,052 - $3,391. The $3,391 weekly pay listed in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range.
