Our practice specializes in disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands, as well as osteoporosis and diabetes. We are committed to providing our patients with exceptional endocrine care through a collaborative team-based approach.

Requirements

• Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active Michigan license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification (must be maintained); ACLS preferred
• Previous endocrinology, primary care, or internal medicine experience preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Providing direct patient care for individuals with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and other hormonal conditions
• Performing patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing follow-up care in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Ordering, interpreting, and monitoring diagnostic tests and laboratory results
• Educating patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Documenting patient encounters and treatment plans in Epic EMR
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects
• Supporting Trinity Health IHA Medical Groups mission of improving community health
