Job Description

This Sr. Manager position has key accountabilities for the Domino’s Technical Services program. This position draws from a history of accomplishments and cross functional collaboration to ensure that technical services projects are prioritized and completed with diligence and integrity.

  • Lead complex innovation and renovation projects through onboarding of new suppliers and ingredients for new product development.
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve Domino’s Technical Services QA policies and procedures.
  • Provide team leadership for the technical services team by overseeing the scope of the team and positively coaching and managing direct reports.
Compensation

The salary range for this role is: $130,000 - $140,000
, plus bonus eligibility. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

Location

This is an on-site position based at our Ann Arbor, MI headquarters. It will also require 30% travel.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leads complex and highly technical innovation and renovation projects on Domino’s ingredients to support expanding the capacity, ensuring sufficient supply, and new product development for Domino’s.
  • Is a leading SME on cross functional project teams. Places and coaches a high standard for ingredient quality and brand image. Is the “go‑to” person across the company for many ingredients and technical services projects.
  • Identifies and leads implementation of improvements to Domino’s development processes. Creates opportunities for innovation that leads to higher quality, cost reduction, increased consistency, or process optimization.
  • Effectively articulates impact and importance of potential changes to these food items to leadership, with a focus on impact to the overall brand image and our quality systems. Is the “go‑to” person across the company for areas of responsibility.
  • Identifies opportunities and leads evaluation for continuous improvement of products, processes, SOPs and specifications. Leverages relationships and research to identify and evaluate improvements to products and processes to develop and refine SOPs, procedures and specifications for ingredients leveraging industry leading methodology and innovative approaches.
  • Guides, develops, and oversees execution for appropriate plans for extensive consumer and analytical product testing.
  • Leads the quality and food safety system to ensure food is safe and within specifications. Documents, implements, trains, audits and pursues quality improvements to the food safety and quality assurance program to meet and raise Domino’s standards. Identifies gaps in these systems and solutions that reduce risk.
  • Acts as thought leader and developer of PQTS strategic roadmap. Leads team to execute against roadmap. Summarizes progress and reports and presents to varying audiences as appropriate.
  • Leads and manages team to perform against objectives and key results that tie to department and company priorities. Provides clear accountability and support to direct report(s). Helps develop team member skills and competencies.
  • Helps build department employee engagement scores year over year. Acts as coach to support team member learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
  • BS or equivalent experience and expertise in food science or related field. Minimum 10 years’ experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance or Product Development preferably within the QSR industry.
  • Relevant food safety certification or equivalent such as Serve Safe, HACCP, IFT, certificate in food analysis, food testing, food processing, lean manufacturing, or similar proof of continued education.
  • Strong knowledge of test plan development, data collection, statistical analysis, and data summarization. Ability to communicate data summary to leaders, with recommendations based on professional experience and organizational goals.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills, with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong and proven background in food manufacturing, quality management, food safety and food manufacturing troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced problem solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Understand and track market relevant data streams to predict impacts to the brand and proactively plan in order to protect customers and consumers.
  • Outstanding people and relationship building skills and ability to interact effectively with various constituencies.
  • Excellent product and equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.
