We are looking for someone that has the aptitude to learn new techniques, works well with others, and possesses strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities
  • Help maintain lab organization and record all information, daily, in an official laboratory notebook.
  • Assist with experiments that involve mouse handling and animal behavior assays.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of mouse colonies, including involvement in genotyping and genetic crosses.
  • Aid in mouse tissue dissection and preparation for downstream applications.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with laboratory protocols, equipment operation, and standard techniques, or show aptitude to learn these quickly.
  • Participate and present data in periodic research discussions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and achieve short‑ and long‑range plans.
  • Monitor laboratory instrumentation, ensuring proper functioning and performing routine maintenance as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, according to research or lab needs.
General Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required and 2‑4 years of experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis (training will be provided).
Senior Level Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required and 2‑4 years of experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection.
Lead Level Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required and 4+ years of experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection.

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
