We are looking for someone that has the aptitude to learn new techniques, works well with others, and possesses strong critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities- Help maintain lab organization and record all information, daily, in an official laboratory notebook.
- Assist with experiments that involve mouse handling and animal behavior assays.
- Support the maintenance and organization of mouse colonies, including involvement in genotyping and genetic crosses.
- Aid in mouse tissue dissection and preparation for downstream applications.
- Demonstrate proficiency with laboratory protocols, equipment operation, and standard techniques, or show aptitude to learn these quickly.
- Participate and present data in periodic research discussions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and achieve short‑ and long‑range plans.
- Monitor laboratory instrumentation, ensuring proper functioning and performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, according to research or lab needs.
- Bachelor’s degree required and 2‑4 years of experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis (training will be provided).
- Bachelor’s degree required and 2‑4 years of experience in a related field.
- 2+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection.
- Bachelor’s degree required and 4+ years of experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
