Research Assistant/Associate, Research Analyst
Research Assistant Position
We are hiring 1-3 research assistants to support an interview study on teens' opinions about whether AI chatbots should be used for mental health support. The purpose of the study is to gather teens' perspectives on the potential benefits and risks of seeking social or emotional support from AI chatbots, including their experiences doing so or reasons they have chosen not to.
Responsibilities include:
- Distributing study information to recruit teens who are interested in being interviewed
- Contributing to finalizing interview questions that participants will be asked
- Helping conduct interviews, prepare interview transcripts for analysis, and then analyze the qualitative data
- Assisting with literature reviews and writing scholarly publications
Required qualifications include:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience managing or contributing to research projects
- Interest in the implications of AI chatbot use on social and emotional wellbeing, and overall mental health
- Experience working with teens and comfortable engaging them during recruitment and interviewing
Modes of work are subject to the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.
