Job Description

The Relish Restaurant, located inside The Kensington Hotel, is looking for a full time Restaurant Supervisor to lead and motivate our morning staff! Relish is open Monday through Sunday 6:00am to 11:00am and 4:00pm to 10:00pm. The successful candidate will lead team members during the AM and PM shift.

Open and close the restaurant, according to the assigned checklist; coordinate with management and kitchen staff to ensure appropriate stock and staffing levels.

Resolve any guest issues that occur to ensure guest satisfaction and profitability of the restaurant

Serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely and manner.

Maintain proper and adequate set‑up of the bar on a daily basis, including requisitioning and stocking liquor, paper products, condiments and produce based on daily projections.

Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks. Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.

Input all orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.

Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.

Lock up and store all beverage, food and other equipment, deposit cash drops and secure bank.

Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Can communicate well with guests.

Self-starting personality with an even disposition.

Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co‑workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Must have basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation including various alcoholic beverages.

Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.

Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.

Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.

Ability to operate keyboard and point of sale procedures, pre-check orders and close out checks.

Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers.
