Zingerman's Bakehouse is hiring an Afternoon Bread Mixer to work on our team making and baking hand crafted, artisan breads.

Starting pay is $17 per hour, negotiable based on experience. No experience needed.

• 8 hours shifts between the hours of 12pm to 10pm
• Full time availability;40 hours per week
• Weekend availability
• Holiday availability
• Full availability in October, November and December (we don't take any extra time off during these months)

• Able to read and follow recipes
• Strong attention to detail and follow through skills
• Reliable team player with great attendance
• Able to work independently and manage time on tasks
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Measures ingredients accurately using a digital scale
• Has good basic math skills
• Mix the dough accurately for baking
• Hand-shapes multiple types of dough

• Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during an 8 hour shift
• Able to stand, lift and bend for duration of an 8 hour shift
• Comfortable with repetitive motion activities
• Comfortable in an 82 degree environment at all times

Zingerman's Bakehouse is a wholesale bakery, retail shop, and baking school for home bakers. We sell to specialty food stores, cafés and restaurants in southeastern Michigan as well as selling to Zingerman's Mail Order, who ships our baked goods everywhere in the United States. We are dedicated bakers and food lovers committed to making and selling the best breads, pastries and cakes we can imagine.
