Positions that Report to you:

- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store.
- Attempts to learn customers’ names and addresses them by name whenever possible.
- Assists customers by escorting them to the products they’re looking for, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to callers, including taking customer orders.
- Takes customer orders at the Market Grille counter.
- Works with co‑workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Reviews orders for the day.
- Handles food in a safe manner and keeps the work area clean and neat.
- Reviews the status and appearance of food for freshness.
- Maintains an adequate food supply on hand and follows a production list.
- Anticipates product needs for the department on a daily basis.
- Prepares and replenishes product as necessary.
- Checks in product, puts product away, and may review invoices.
- Runs the department registers, receives payment, makes change, etc., where applicable.
- Removes trash in a timely manner.
- Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines.
- Reports to work on schedule and on time.
- Washes dishes as necessary.
- Orders product and supplies as necessary.
- Prices products for customers as necessary.
- Delivers orders as needed.
- Assists in other areas of store as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
- Can follow detailed written or verbal instructions with a few concrete variables.
- Can perform simple addition and subtraction; copy figures, count, and record.
- Can understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
- No education requirement.
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
- Must be able to perform medium work: exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly.
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision to identify and distinguish colors, and field of vision.
- Must perform activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Conducted in a store environment.
- Experience significant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Exposure to noise, equipment movement hazards, cleaning chemicals/solvents, possible electrical shock, and temperature extremes.
- Standard kitchen tools and equipment, including disposal, trash compactor, slicer, Hobart machine, grill, fryer, dishwasher, register system, ovens, rotisserie, knives, label maker, and company vehicle.
- Daily contact with the general public and customers.
- Contact with federal/state governmental or regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.
