Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in driving sales, merchandising standards, and profitability for DICK'S Sporting Goods.
• Lead daily merchandising execution, including floor sets, signage, product presentation, and inventory placement.
• Supervise, coach, and schedule team members to deliver strong customer service and operational excellence.
• Analyze sales trends, stock levels, and product performance to optimize assortment and in-store visual impact.
• Ensure brand standards, pricing accuracy, and promotional set-ups are executed on time and correctly.
• Partner with store and district leaders to plan local merchandising strategies aligned with company goals.
• Help manage inventory processes, including replenishment, cycle counts, and shrink reduction strategies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging shopping environment that reflects a passion for sports and community.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of associates on merchandising and product knowledge.
• Model DICK'S culture and values, resolving customer issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
