Field-based. 95% overnight travel. Must live near an airport.
Responsibilities- Provide coverage for leaves of absence for Sales Representatives in the region (typically 4 weeks or longer, up to 3 consecutive months).
- Coordinate selling and marketing of Stryker products within the region, while covering for colleagues on leave or supporting other business coverage as needed.
- Educate and inform doctors, nurses and staff on the proper use, maintenance, functionality and updates of Stryker products and the product portfolio.
- Promote Stryker products to healthcare professionals, delivering excellent customer service and developing relationships.
- Tailor promotional messages based on customer knowledge, advise on product selection, answer product–functionality questions, and distinguish Stryker products from competitors.
- Direct product evaluations in operating rooms and office settings.
- Assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and clinical meetings.
- Keep sales representatives informed of territory progress regularly.
- Resolve product problems for customers promptly.
- Assist in the training and development of sales personnel.
- Adhere to all operating room and OSHA guidelines during product evaluations.
- Utilize Stryker SIS program with a basic computer skillset.
- Comply with all GMP policies and FDA procedures.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 2 years of proven work experience; medical‑related fields preferred.
- Prior sales or marketing experience preferred.
- Ability to solve customer complaints and questions readily.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all products sold or marketed by the business unit, including features and differentiators versus competitors.
- Capability to analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Discretion, independence, and the ability to manage time, projects, stress, and conflict.
- Ability to bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Detail‑oriented record‑keeping and confidentiality.
- Comfort presenting to large groups.
- Unwavering ethics and integrity in a demanding environment.
95% overnight travel. Must be able to drive an automobile.
Other Requirements- 12‑month commitment to the role to ensure coverage and consistency.
