Job Summary – Key Account Director (Allergy & Immunology Biosimilars)

Our client, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced Key Account Director (KAD) to drive the successful launch, adoption, and growth of its biosimilar portfolio within the assigned territory. This role will focus on strategically engaging Allergy & Immunology private practices, specialty physician groups, and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) to secure account conversions and accelerate product adoption.

The KAD will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, practice administrators, Pharmacy Directors, P&T Committees, GPOs, and IDN leadership, while partnering closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing teams to execute coordinated account strategies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, biologics/biosimilars, buy-and-bill environments, market access, reimbursement, and product launches (pre-launch through post-launch). They will leverage territory analytics, market insights, and competitive intelligence to identify high-value opportunities, develop strategic account plans, negotiate contracts, overcome access barriers, and drive sustainable business growth.

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical commercial experience, including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch product commercialization.
  • Strong experience in biologics, biosimilars, and specialty provider-administered therapies.
  • Proven success managing key accounts within buy-and-bill environments, including Allergy & Immunology practices, specialty groups, and IDNs.
  • Expertise in market access, reimbursement, contracting, GPOs, and healthcare provider engagement.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, strategic planning, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

This is a highly strategic commercial role requiring a proven leader who can drive account conversions, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver successful biosimilar launches in a complex specialty healthcare market.
