The Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business and increasing revenue for Weber’s Boutique Hotel & Restaurant through proactive sales efforts, relationship development, and effective follow-up with prospective clients.
The primary objective of this position is to book events, group business, and hotel room revenue. The Sales Manager is expected to actively prospect for new accounts, respond quickly to inquiries, conduct property tours, prepare proposals and contracts, and convert qualified leads into confirmed business.
The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Catering and works closely with the Catering, Banquet, Hotel, Restaurant, and Front Desk teams to ensure booked business is properly communicated and successfully transitioned to operations.
- Actively solicit and book new group, event, meeting, wedding, corporate, social, and hotel room business.
- Prospect for new clients through telephone, email, networking, referrals, site visits, community involvement, and other outbound sales activities.
- Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, universities, associations, event planners, and other potential clients.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incoming sales inquiries.
- Conduct property tours and sales appointments with prospective clients.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, room blocks, pricing, and other sales materials.
- Consistently follow up with prospective clients to maximize conversion of leads into confirmed business.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of current leads, tentative business, definite business, and future opportunities.
- Meet established individual and departmental sales and revenue goals.
- Identify periods of need and proactively pursue business that improves hotel occupancy, banquet utilization, and overall revenue.
- Develop repeat business from existing accounts while continuously expanding Weber’s customer base.
- Maintain accurate client, account, activity, and booking information in company systems.
- Coordinate with the Director of Sales & Catering regarding pricing, availability, strategy, and significant business opportunities.
- Properly transition confirmed business to the appropriate catering, banquet, hotel, or operational team.
- Maintain ongoing client relationships and assist in generating repeat and referral business.
- Monitor market activity, competitors, local developments, and potential sources of new business.
- Represent Weber’s professionally at networking events, community functions, trade events, and client meetings when appropriate.
- Participate in sales meetings, revenue discussions, forecasting, and departmental planning.
- Perform other sales-related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Sales & Catering or ownership.

This is an active sales position. The Sales Manager is expected to continually pursue new opportunities rather than relying primarily on incoming inquiries.
Qualifications- Previous hotel, hospitality, event, catering, or business-to-business sales experience preferred.
